10 Places Everyone Should Visit in London

Published: November 8, 2018

London is a multicultural, large, and exceptional city in every aspect of it. Its noisy and vibrant nature is justified, there are 8 million people in the city! There is rarely anything that can’t be found in London, and it’s hard to compile a suitable list that will do justice to even a fraction of its tourist sites, but we can try.

The Tower of London and Tower Bridge

The tower of London is one of the world’s most famous buildings and has been in existence for at least 900 years. A visit to this place will expose you to a rich history from way back when the place was used as a royal palace, prison, place of execution, arsenal, jewel house, and zoo.

The London Eye

There are a lot of giant ferry wheels in London, but the coca-cola London eye stands out from them all. It has 32 capsules, each of which can hold up to 25 people and rise as high as 135 meters. Get on board and catch some of London’s best view from the London Eye.

Big Ben and Parliament

The list of the top tourist attraction in London will not be complete without the Big Ben Clock Tower. Do you know who Big Ben is? It is the name of the 13-tonne bell housed within the tower, yes. But the bell got its name from the man who first ordered the bell, Sir Benjamin Hall.

The Buckingham Palace

Royalty is an indisputable part of the people of England, and so is the Buckingham Palace. This magnificent edifice is the residence of Queen Elizabeth II, owned by the state. The changing of guards is one thing you’ll love to see if you’ve not seen that before. You can even take a second tour, and a third, and as many tours as you want to this historic place. It is sure worth it.

The Two Tates Galleries

Again, there is rarely anything that can’t be found in London. The Two Tates Galleries, Tate Britain and Tate Modern, shelters the world’s most important collection. “The world’s” in this context refers indeed to every aspect of it. A day at the Two Tates is not enough to savour all the collections here.
